Mid Year Appeal 2009: Life after the Fires

Birds Australia has launched it's annual Mid Year Appeal in the latest issue of Wingspan. Many of our ongoing projects specifically examine the effects of bushfires on birdlife. Please donate to help us maintain this important work after the fires.

Home

RG mapWe wish to halt the loss of our native birds. This requires that we protect what is left of our native vegetation and that wherever practicable we restore environmental health to our landscapes by repairing what has been degraded and replacing what has been lost.

Effective conservation of Australia’s birds requires that we focus our activities at a regional scale, to particular bird species, or to specific sites of interest. Much of Birds Australia’s work is done by our Regional and Special Interest Groups, at our Reserves and Observatories. Together, they form the Birds Australia Family.
