The Birds Australia Family

Our mission is to halt the loss of our native birds. To do this we must protect what is left of our native vegetation and restore environmental health to our landscapes by repairing what has been degraded and replacing what has been lost. Effective conservation of Australia's birds requires that we focus our activities at a regional scale, to particular bird species, or to specific sites of interest. Much of Birds Australia's work is done by our Regional & Special Interest Groups, at our Reserves & Observatories, and at our regular events - Conservation Forum, Congress & Campout, and the Australasian Ornithological Conference. Together, they form the Birds Australia Family.
