BASQ AGM and Annual Conference at the Griffith University Ecocentre. The conference will report on the latest research and conservation activities in Southern Queensland. A workshop on how to use a GPS for studying birds is planned.

The Annual General Meeting will follow at 4 pm. Download  a nomination form for the committee.

BASQ Easter Campout at Ballon Education Centre, north of Chinchilla. The centre has some 3-bed rooms and plenty of space for tents, caravans and campers; and a kitchen and dining room we can use.. Members of the Chinchilla Field Naturalists Club will join us for the campout. Outings will include visits to Ballara Nature Refuge which is on private property and the nearby Barakula State Forest which is the largest state forest in the southern hemisphere. If a Birds Australia member (or group of members) in  a particular locality organise an outing with the prior approval of BASQ, the members, and any volunteers who are registered for the outing, are covered by the BA Public Liability and Accident Insurance.
